Accomplishments: Just finished Discussion Case Study 1. I learned a lot about upcoming business technology trends especially about RFIDs and how they work within the retail environment.

Plan of action to get back on track, including the timeline: Now that I'm caught up with all of my assignments I should have no problem with being on schedule with next weeks blog and Case Study 4 by April 4th.

Accomplishments: I just submitted my Lab 2 and it was actually a fun assignment. Excel has always been a little complicated for me to use but the tutorials helped out a lot. I'm more familiar with Microsoft Power Point so that part of the assignment was not too hard.

Plans for next week: Next week is Spring Break and I don't have any plans to go on vacation so I'm contemplating on starting the next assignment early for this class which is Discussion Case Study 1. We shall see!

Introduction

Hello, my name is Lindsey Chavez. I'm from Victoria, Tx and I have lived here my whole life. My interests include going to concerts, traveling, lifting weights, reading books, and watching TV shows when I have time. I graduated from High School in 2006 and time has flown by since! I received my Associate of Applied Science from the Victoria College and I'm now pursuing my Bachelors in Business Management at UHV. This is my second semester at UHV and I have enjoyed it so far. I'm not really involved in campus activities because I already have a busy schedule as it is. I always like to keep myself busy and productive because I hate to be bored.

My computer background I would say is intermediate. I’ve used Microsoft Word for the majority of my academic career. I’m still not very familiar with Microsoft Excel. I’ve used it minimally throughout my life but I would like to become more proficient at it because I’ve noticed, when applying for jobs related to my major, that many of them require you to be very familiar with Excel and many other computer programs. I’ve already learned a lot about information systems in this class and I’m hoping to learn more. I haven't realized how much we rely on computers and programs in our everyday lives. It’s amazing!

One I've my favorite places that I have been to was Germany. I went to Munich and Ulm. I was able to climb the Ulmer Münster in Ulm, Germany and it's aproximately 520 steps all the way up, one way! My legs were killing me afterwards!
